10/14/98: I will be out of town next week. Instead of coming to class, please view last year's Lectures 16 and 17 on videotape in the Media Center of the D. H. Hill Library (building 47 on the campus map). Hours are 7 AM-midnight Monday through Thursday, 7 AM-6 PM Friday, 9 AM-10 PM Saturday, and 1 PM-midnight Sunday.

9/14/98:I have now posted Test 1 from Fall 1997. For the Postscript version, click here; for the RTF version, click here.

9/8/98:When signing up for your Other Assignment 1, you should use your Eos/Unity ID and password. Your Eos/Unity ID is normally your first initial, middle initial, and first six letters of your last name (without any spaces or punctuation). Your password is the same as your student number (which is the same as your SSN, if you have one, unless you have told the university to use a different number). Sometimes your ID is different, if there is a clash with a preexisting ID. In case of doubt, look up your name in http://www2.ncsu.edu/eos/info/csc_info/csc501/CSC501-ROLL. You can change your password by visiting http://www.ncsu.edu/password.

8/26/98: The university has suspended classes as of 4 PM today. Therefore, CSC/ECE 501 will not meet tonight. The due date for Problem Set 1 will be extended (for on-campus students only) until Wednesday, Sept. 2. Other due dates remain as announced in the syllabus.

8/14/98: On-campus sections of CSC/ECE 501 have just reached their enrollment limits. To put your name on the waiting list, click here.

8/4/98: For help on navigating this Website, click here.

7/28/98: So that I can communicate with you about the course, please make sure that TRACS has your preferred e-mail address! Go to the Registration and Records homepage, then choose TRACS LINK and then "Email Address" in the left-hand column.

If you want e-mail to go to your Eos/Unity address, you do not have to do this; that is the default.
