The general mission of our research group is to provide an understanding of the interactions between function-composition-morphology (a.k.a. mechanism-property-structure) of various bulk materials and interfacial phenomena by using multidisciplinary approaches (Figure A). Our aim is to achieve the following specific objectives:
Develop theory and modeling systems to gain fundamental understanding of energy materials and biosystems.
Educate and train students, so that they may apply engineering concepts in their careers as educators, scientists, and engineers.
