Short Bio

    Dr. Afsaneh Rabiei received her Ph.D. in 1997, at the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology at The University of Tokyo, Japan. She dealt with advanced materials within the area of mechanics and non-destructive evaluation of metal matrix composites. Immediately after receiving her doctoral degree, she worked at Harvard University as a Post Doctoral Researcher till the year 2000. Prior to that, she gained over 8 years of industrial experience in the field of materials science & processing techniques which also included casting, welding and non-destructive testing. She received her B.S. in 1986, from the Department of Metallurgy & Material Science at Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. Additionally, she is fluent in English, Japanese and Persian.
